PTI Accuses Govt of Corruption, Economic Negligence Amid Wheat, Fuel Crises

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has accused the government of extensive corruption and economic mismanagement, highlighting severe failures in managing basic commodities and fuel prices. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja alleged that 4-5 million metric tons of wheat vanished due to negligence and collusion, while criticising the government's fuel pricing policies and failure to maintain national petroleum reserves. The party also announced an August 5 protest, urging citizens to take to the streets against perceived injustice and economic burdens. Such political instability and economic concerns could further pressure the Pakistani Rupee and potentially boost local gold demand as a hedge against inflation.
