وفاقی حکومت نے 25 جولائی سے پیٹرول کی قیمت 335.18 روپے اور ہائی اسپیڈ ڈیزل کی قیمت 383.46 روپے فی لیٹر کر دی ہے۔ پیٹرول میں 3.66 روپے اور ڈیزل میں 4.80 روپے فی لیٹر کا یہ اضافہ بین الاقوامی تیل منڈیوں میں اتار چڑھاؤ کے پیش نظر روزانہ کی قیمتوں کے تعین کے طریقہ کار کے تحت کیا گیا ہے۔ ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں یہ اضافہ عام طور پر ملکی مہنگائی کو بڑھاتا ہے اور پاکستانی روپے پر دباؤ ڈال سکتا ہے، جس سے مقامی سونے اور کرنسی کی شرح متاثر ہو سکتی ہے۔
