Local rates come live from the Rawalpindi/Islamabad Sarafa market and are combined with the live international gold price. Rates move in real time during market hours — what you see is the current market, not a once-a-day figure.

Rawa is raw gold prepared by a local laboratory, usually around 999 purity. A TT Bar is a standard ten-tola bar of 9990 purity with certified markings — it is the common choice for investment. Both prices are shown live per tola.

Karat measures purity. 24K is pure gold (about 999). Jewellery is usually 22K or 21K because pure gold is too soft. The Board Rate page shows official 21K and 22K rates; the dashboard calculator can value 24K, 22K, 21K and 18K.

The Board Rate is the official rate announced by the Sarafa Bazaar board for 21K and 22K gold. The live rate moves with the market throughout the day. Jewellers typically use the board rate and may add making charges on top.

1 tola = 11.664 grams. PakGold shows prices per tola, per 10 gram, per 5 gram and per 1 gram, so you can compare in whichever unit you use.
