PTI warns EU trade access at risk, criticizes fuel price hikes
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) warned that the country's duty-free access to the EU market via the GSP+ scheme could be jeopardized by the government's failure to meet human rights obligations. The party also condemned five consecutive daily increases in fuel prices, noting petrol rose by Rs21 and diesel by Rs56, reaching Rs331.52/L and Rs378.66/L respectively. The potential loss of GSP+ status could strain Pakistan's economy and the Rupee, while rising fuel costs are likely to fuel inflation, potentially influencing local gold and currency rates.

پاکستان تحریک انصاف (پی ٹی آئی) نے خبردار کیا ہے کہ انسانی حقوق کی ذمہ داریوں کو پورا کرنے میں حکومتی ناکامی کے باعث یورپی یونین کی جی ایس پی پلس سکیم کے تحت ملک کی ڈیوٹی فری تجارتی رسائی خطرے میں پڑ سکتی ہے۔ پارٹی نے ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں مسلسل پانچ روز کے اضافے کی بھی مذمت کی، جس سے پیٹرول 21 روپے اور ڈیزل 56 روپے فی لیٹر مہنگا ہو کر بالترتیب 331.52 روپے اور 378.66 روپے فی لیٹر ہو گیا۔ جی ایس پی پلس کی حیثیت کا ممکنہ نقصان پاکستان کی معیشت اور روپے پر دباؤ ڈال سکتا ہے، جبکہ بڑھتی ہوئی ایندھن کی لاگت مہنگائی کو بڑھا سکتی ہے، جو مقامی سونے اور کرنسی کی شرح کو متاثر کر سکتی ہے۔
