Impact on Gold Private Sector Rejects State Wheat Imports, Citing Inflation & Losses

سیریل ایسوسی ایشن آف پاکستان (CAP) نے خبردار کیا ہے کہ حکومتی سطح پر گندم کی درآمد سے اربوں کے نقصانات ہو سکتے ہیں اور ڈی ریگولیشن کی پالیسی متاثر ہو سکتی ہے۔ نجی شعبہ 40 لاکھ ٹن گندم کی درآمد کی اجازت کا مطالبہ کر رہا ہے، جس کے بارے میں ان کا دعویٰ ہے کہ FY24 میں نجی درآمدات نے گندم کی قیمتوں کو 123 روپے سے کم کر کے 95 روپے فی کلو کر دیا تھا۔ ان کا کہنا ہے کہ نجی شعبے کی درآمدات میں تاخیر سے موجودہ 116-120 روپے فی کلو قیمت 125 روپے تک بڑھ سکتی ہے، جس سے مہنگائی میں اضافہ ہوگا۔ گندم کی درآمدی پالیسی اور مہنگائی پر اس کے ممکنہ اثرات اسٹیٹ بینک کی مالیاتی پالیسی اور بالواسطہ طور پر USD/PKR کی شرح تبادلہ کو متاثر کر سکتے ہیں۔
