Chinese Refiners Suspend Oct Fuel Exports, PetroChina Cancels Cargoes
Chinese refiners have suspended oil product exports to regions outside Hong Kong and Macau following Beijing's directive to safeguard domestic supplies after the Golden Week holiday. State oil major PetroChina cancelled the majority of its October gasoline and jet fuel shipments, impacting global supply. This move could tighten international fuel markets, potentially pushing crude oil prices higher. For Pakistan, rising crude prices could pressure the USD/PKR rate and increase imported inflation, indirectly supporting local gold prices.
