LCCI Applauds Govt's Rs2 Trillion SME Financing Target by 2028
LCCI President Ali Hussam Asghar praised the federal government's initiative, highlighting its potential to generate employment, promote entrepreneurship, and significantly contribute to Pakistan's exports. He noted that outstanding SME financing has already increased to over Rs1.137 trillion by September from Rs1.114 trillion in June 2026, with borrowers rising to 350,862. The LCCI chief called for simpler financing procedures and greater use of digital platforms to achieve the target of 775,000 borrowers. While positive for long-term economic stability, this development is unlikely to have an immediate, direct impact on gold or currency rates in Pakistan.

ایل سی سی آئی کے صدر علی حسام اصغر نے وفاقی حکومت کے اس اقدام کی تعریف کی، جس سے روزگار کے مواقع پیدا ہوں گے، کاروبار کو فروغ ملے گا اور پاکستان کی برآمدات میں نمایاں اضافہ ہوگا۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ جون 2026 میں ایس ایم ای فنانسنگ 1.114 کھرب روپے سے بڑھ کر ستمبر تک 1.137 کھرب روپے سے تجاوز کر گئی ہے، جبکہ قرض لینے والوں کی تعداد 350,862 ہو گئی ہے۔ ایل سی سی آئی کے سربراہ نے 775,000 قرض لینے والوں کے ہدف کو حاصل کرنے کے لیے آسان فنانسنگ طریقہ کار اور ڈیجیٹل پلیٹ فارمز کے زیادہ استعمال کا مطالبہ کیا۔ اگرچہ یہ طویل مدتی معاشی استحکام کے لیے مثبت ہے، لیکن اس پیشرفت کا پاکستان میں سونے یا کرنسی کی شرح پر فوری اور براہ راست اثر پڑنے کا امکان نہیں ہے۔
